This garden-inspired wedding in Portland is sure to inspire your own blossoming affair! Natalie and Adam wed at Waverley Country Club, one of our favorite venues to collaborate with. The property’s manicured lawns and riverfront views set the stage for a day of romance and celebration, from the outdoor ceremony shaded under a giant oak tree to the tented reception. When the sun finally set, everyone headed inside the venue to dance the night away!

Garden-Inspired Wedding in Portland

Natalie and Adam wanted their wedding day to marry a garden-inspired aesthetic with an overarching sense of upscale elegance. So, we focused on a timeless, black-and-white color palette with touches of soft blue. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue floor-length gowns, while the groomsmen sported classic black tuxes. White florals wove throughout the day as a design motif, from Natalie’s simple bouquet to the lush ceremony arch. Later, a mix of high and low centerpieces filled with roses, greenery, and clouds of fluffy baby’s breath generated visual interest at the reception. 

One of our favorite details from the day was the adorable lemonade stand that gave guests a welcome respite from the summer heat. It reminded us of a vintage garden wedding! The black-and-white stand matched the wedding aesthetic perfectly, complete with custom lettering by Letters + Dust.
