Quintessential Waverley Wedding

2022 was definitely the summer of weddings! Morgan and Harrison’s June nuptials were a romantic and timeless affair. Once again, Waverley Country Club was transformed to meet the bride’s vision of a Hamptons-inspired classic. Elegant details, like blackberries on the tables and pearls on the cake to match her wedding dress, coupled with fun new elements, like an al fresco lounge featuring his & hers cocktails and gaming tables at the reception, made this fabulous wedding beyond memorable for everyone.

The sun chose to shine this lovely last weekend in June, after one of the wettest Springs on record for Oregon (and that’s saying something), so we were off to a fantastic start. While Morgan and her bridesmaids got camera-ready with some help from the talented Tiffany Randolph, the teams from West Coast Events and Great Jones arrived to set up the outdoor cocktail lounge and put the finishing touches on the ceremony ballroom and the dinner tent.

Our favorite floral guru, Roger of Haute Flowers, was on hand to work his magic in white and green with more flowers than the royal garden – simply gorgeous! The BLC Events Team stepped right into action, setting details like signs and menus from our other favorite tried-and-true vendors, Lisa from Crave Designs and Brittany from Letters & Dust, to complete the quintessential wedding picture. Speaking of pictures, the bride and groom had the amazing team from Sweetlife Photography crafting their love story through pictures of their special day.

Morgan and Harrison wanted to enjoy as much time at their reception as possible with family and friends, so Sweetlife captured all of the essential wedding portraits before the ceremony – always the dream of the BLC Events team. From getting ready photos, to first looks with the father of the bride and the groom, to the wedding party and families – we always love it when our couples choose to take photos before guests arrive.

Morgan and Harrison’s love story actually began in high school in Lake Oswego, so they were more than ready to make it official at 5:00 in front of all their family and friends. Duo Con Brio ushered guests inside to the ballroom for the beautiful ceremony.

Their vows taken, it was time to enjoy the fruits of all the months of planning labors! The party moved outside for signature His, Hers, and Ours cocktails in the phenomenal lounge space created on the north lawn. The newlyweds were even able to break away for some stunning sunset photos. Another favorite, Higher Ground Entertainment, set the stage for the rest of the night’s festivities – dinner in the tent followed by dancing, dessert, and dice-rolling in celebration of the newly-minted Mr. & Mrs. Reece.

After the delectable dinner and moving toasts, the reception moved inside for the beautiful pearl-studded wedding cake from JaCivas.

We loved that the Reeces wanted to pay homage to the time they spent living in Las Vegas, so we had Team Casino bring gaming to Waverley – it was a huge hit! Dancing, Stumptown photo booth, second look changes for both the bride and groom, and a late-night food pass rounded out the revelry.

All great fetes must come to an end, although this stunning duo’s could’ve gone all night! We were so honored that you trusted us with all your wedding day details, Morgan and Harrison. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Reece from the BLC Events team – Cheers!
