Here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, it’s understood that you plan outdoor summer events after July 4th. This worked perfectly for Christy and JP’s gorgeous July 6th wedding out on the North Lawn at Waverley Country Club! BLC Events could not have asked for better – starting with JP and Christy as dream clients, the weather, the setting, Suzanne Shick’s spectacular floral and decor, Higher Ground’s on point entertainment and Papa Haydn’s elegant cake – simply splendid indeed.

The invitation suite set the color scheme for this visually stunning event. The blue and white base with lush red and pink shades for accent was truly something to behold!

July 6th started with a pop – from a champagne cork! Waverley set a lovely stationed breakfast for Christy and her bridesmaids while they were attended by the incomparable Olivia Hawthorne for hair and makeup.

The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Mathers wanted a special “first look” opportunity before the ceremony so they could really cherish the moment with eachother. It was a very sweet “Love Mathers” reveal just for them.

After the bride & groom’s session, we were able to have the majority of the traditional wedding portraiture taken so the wedding party could enjoy the cocktail reception instead of a photo session (we love efficiency!).

While the wedding party got ready and had their photo sessions, another member of the BLC Events team was overseeing the ceremony, dinner and reception set up. West Coast Event Productions set up the ceremony chairs and the dinner tables and chairs on the North Lawn while Suzanne Shick worked her magic with the floral decor.

Signage from Brittany Hampton at Letters & Dust added the perfect details.

Inside, Higher Ground Entertainment and Stumptown Photo Booth set up for the dance party reception and Papa Haydn delivered the exquisite cake.

The event was set to perfection – time for the ceremony. Chamber music from the Melegari Chamber Players welcomed guests while Paul Dean presided. A traditional procession and ceremony, touching vows and … we had newlyweds!

The newly minted Mr. & Mrs. Mather were announced into dinner to the tune of You Make My Dreams Come True and the celebration was underway! A delectable al fresco dinner, toasts and a lovely sunset before transitioning inside for dancing and dessert.

Christy and JP’s family and friends made their way inside for the cutting of that fabulous cake.

Stumptown Photo was on hand for fun photo mementos from the event. Higher Ground Entertainment dialed it up a notch and the Mathers danced into the night with all their guests!
