Brianna and Jack wed on September 3rd, 2022, at one of our favorite Portland venues to plan weddings, Waverley Country Club. Their wedding day was epic! Over 250 guests joined them from Brianna’s native Portland, Jack’s hometown on the East Coast, and the couple’s shared home of L.A. to celebrate their union. Brianna and Jack are one of the most stylish couples we’ve ever worked with. Their wedding effortlessly blended timeless design with modern touches to create an aesthetic entirely theirs! Rehearsal Dinner Cruise on the Portland Spirit

Brianna and Jack’s wedding weekend began with a rehearsal dinner cruise on the Portland Spirit, hosted by Jack’s parents, to welcome the wedding party and their out-of-town guests.

Our team coordinated this portion of the weekend in addition to the wedding day, and it was so rewarding to watch every detail flawlessly fall into place. Custom signage and nautically themed paper goods by Crave Design greeted the couple’s guests as they boarded the boat and sat down to dinner. The evening was full of anticipation for the following day as we sailed down the Willamette River past their wedding venue, Waverley Country Club!

Planning an Outdoor Wedding at Waverley Country Club

Brianna and Jack wanted to host their ceremony and reception dinner outdoors, on the gorgeously manicured grounds of Waverley Country Club. Inclement weather was a concern. So, our team advised them to host both events under a clear-top tent. These tents allow you and your guests to take in the beauty of the outdoor environment while remaining sheltered from the elements. However, this also meant that our team had to flip the ceremony tent into a dinner tent. We only had one hour while the couple and their guests enjoyed cocktails and a raw bar by the riverside. While it was no easy feat, our talented team pulled it off with time to spare! 

Curating a vendor team was another aspect of our role as full-service planners for Brianna and Jack’s wedding. The two wanted their reception to be an epic party! So, we spent extra time looking for the perfect, energetic live band. We discovered PDA Band and knew they were the group we needed to bring the house down! We flew them into Portland from Austin, Texas, and they gave an incredible night of performances with energy and charisma to spare.

A Beautiful Bride in Oscar de la Renta

This couple had incredible style, evident in the attire they selected for their wedding day. Brianna’s Oscar de la Renta ‘Fern’ gown from the Fall 2019 Bridal Collection stunned everyone. The art deco-inspired piece featured an overlay of hand-carved fern lace over ivory crinoline. It also sported a sweetheart neckline and a subtle high-low hem. She wore her hair in a sleek updo and carried an ivory bouquet of garden roses and calla lilies from Haute Flowers to direct everyone’s attention to her showstopping gown! Meanwhile, Jack wore an ivory suit coat with black tapered trousers. He accessorized with an emerald green bow tie and velvet loafers that exuded sophistication.

This Waverley Country Club wedding was the highlight of our 2022 season! There were many moving pieces, but our team executed them all flawlessly.
