We have the honor of coordinating a lot of Mitzvah’s here at BLC Events and we always wonder if themes are going to get stale, especially with boys and sports. It doesn’t happen! Just as each child is unique, their Mitzvah’s take shape around their individual personalities and they inspire our creativity. We planned Jackson’s Bar Mitzvah around his love of sports – playing off of the ESPN Zone, we created the JSPN Zone – chock full of sports gear, sports inspired decor and even cheerleaders for his grand entrance!

The main event took place in the ballroom at the Multnomah Athletic Club after the service at Congregation Beth Israel. The adult guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the library while the crowd-pleasing Higher Ground Entertainment DJ got the party started for the kids. Our Top 5 “Plays of the Day” for this event? We loved the kids lounge area with oversized sport shoe boxes as coffee tables and comfy couches from our fans at Peter Corvallis.

Roger with Haute really hit it out of the ballpark with the centerpieces on the adult tables featuring unique vases full of every kind of sports ball imaginable!

Lisa from Crave Design aced the custom VIP passes/escort cards and matching table numbers highlighting legendary sports stars. Also, all the signage featuring the custom JSPN Zone logo.

What’s a sporting event without concessions? The Ruby Jewel ice cream cart for the win!

Rounding out our Top 5 – custom chocolate bar favors – TOUCHDOWN!

The winning just didn’t stop as guests had their baseball cap swag airbrush personalized by Zari Art, posed for the “paparazzi” with sport-themed props in the Stumptown photo booth and danced right through the 7th inning stretch.

The Hora was definitely on the highlight reel for the night, captured perfectly by one of our favorite photographers, Jai with Love and Photography
